Guest rack1 Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Last night I was listening to an MP3 on my E200 through the head phones. All of a sudden the volume dropped right down. I checked the volume on the phone and on the headphones and both are set to max. I disconnected the headset to see if that was the problem, but even through the speaker the volume is really low! Anyone had this before or now if this is a known problem? Thanks in advance Rack1
Guest uzi_999 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 ive had the same problem. the volume goes right down and on media player settings its maxxed and even the fone volume goes very low. the only way ive got rid of it was by turning the fone off annd then back on. its happened more than once. any ideas to what happens???
Guest rack1 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I contacted Orange and they replaced my phone under Orange Care.
Guest kassan Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 I exactly know what you mean. Have this problem for couple of monthgs and it seems to be connected somehow with sending text messages onto your mobile. When launching media player the volume is really low but when sms has been recieved the volume comes back to demanding level (note: me reciving couple of messages every hour due to changing of location) Mabye this would be helpful....
Guest rpb Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 I have the same probelm with my MPX200. I was waiting for the Smartphone 2003 upgrade but if this doesnt help I will take my phone back to Orange
Guest Smoovey Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 I realise this might seem a bit trivial, but... there is two correlating 'volume' controls in Windows Media Player on the E200. First is the up and down joy-button control. Then in-conjunction with that the phone up and down volume buttons on the side seem to have an effect too. It is as if the phone dedicated volume buttons on the side set a 'range' of volume - i.e. steps; then the up and down joy-button controls this range in a more precise manner. Sorry if that all sounds a bit confusing : ) Have a play around with it. I have no idea why it works like that.
Guest Gavink151 Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 yeah I noticed that too - I had encoded some movies and the volume was really low even though in the media player options it was set to full. More or less by accident I hit the up/down arrows on the side of the phone (earpiece volume control) and that allowed me to up the volume to acceptible levels. Gav
