Guest Taoski Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Getting lots here at work. Well.... lots of people logging calls with our helpdesk anyway. But all the messages are from other peoples PCs spoofing our email addresses and the recipient is batting it back to us complaining. No virus detected "at the moment"! Thank the lord for Lotus Notes!
Guest Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 It's an increasing problem - now that many viruses spoof the "From" field many anti-virus products are accusing inocent people of sending out infected email based on the fake "From" information. Have a look at this opinion piece on http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/56/35202.html>The Register - the writer suggests that these bounced messages are tantamount to spam.
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Think i have a virus - anyone know what a "physical memory dump" is. unknown bluescreen flashed up and now there is no safemode option and only a blinking highfin in the top left corner :?: spacecowboy

Run LiveUpdate from the Norton homescreen and turn on incoming email scanning from Options > Email. This will clean any incoming emails of the Mydoom virus.
