Guest fitz Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Yeah that would be extremely handy. I'm sure someone somewhere has done an application to do this. Haven't got a clue where though
Guest fitz Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I found this by doing a search, I think this answers your question. I can't take credit for this information, it's exactly what they wrote! " Yes you can - but you need to DL an app called smstools. You'll find it at monolithix.org. It'll allow you to delete all msgs from inbox/sent or both. You can then empty your deleted items folder in pocket outlook & they're all gone!! " Hope this helps Fitz
Guest Stella Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I read on this forum, and it works for me every time, that if you go into the IPSM dir, then rename cemail.vol to something like cemail2.vol and reboot the phone, presto! all sms files are gone. simply delete cemail2.vol and the next time you get a message the cemail file is recreated as a fresh file. Doesn't do much for backing them up i know, but you could copy the cemail.vol file to the PC and restore it as and when you need to.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 for backing up you can use SMS2mail this converts your SMS to emails then you can sync them with Outlook. This can be found at www.monolithix.org and another option you have is SMS Cool, for more info on this click HERE
