Guest witchnut Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Anyone know the registry tweaks to keep power to a laptops USB ports during hibernate / suspend mode. I use a USB cable plugged into my laptop as a charger when I travel (obviously to synch with too!) but I find that when the laptop (IBM Thinkpad / XP Pro) goes into hibernate mode either on time delay or due to lid down then the power supply to the USB port is switched off, frustrating! Guest mrdanne Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 The USB ports does not work in hibernate mode, since the memory is written down to the HD and the computer shuts down completly. However the USB power on my Fujitsu-Siemens Laptop is on when the computer is in standby mode (the other powersaving mode). I also use my computer to charge my Qtek when the computer is in standby mode when traveling. /Daniel
