e200 internet access over bluetooth/wifi

should be getting an e200 from orange within the next few days and i've been looking around at all the info on these sites to see what i might be able to do with it. i went for it so i could use it for mp3 (and i needed a new phone!), but it seems it can do a lot more

i read somewhere that when connected to the pc (via usb or bluetooth) the e200 can piggyback onto the host computers internet connection. can someone confirm this can be done under windows 2000 and bluetooth? i am wondering whether i can hijack this feature to use the phone as a suped-up remote for the music server in my living room, without the cost of gprs calls

software is no problem, i am a web developer and can easily whip up a web based frontend to browse files/folders and load files on the host from pocket explorer

bluetooth however is not my area of expertise. the host would be a desktop computer in the corner of a ~12x15' room. what kind of coverage am i likely to expect? is it possible to get a long range dongle with an extension that can be placed somewhere more central?

i have a wireless access point with good coverage? are there currently, or plans for, any working wireless solutions (with drivers) that operate on the e200?

has anyone here tried anything like this before? seems like with wireless, free lan/broadband access there are many useful applications. i would be grateful of any advice, cheers!

I got a Bluetooth USB adapter to attach to my Windows XP PC to share the internet connection. Got mine from Ebuyer.com for about £15 inc vat. :D

The range varies, but my PC is in my room upstairs, and I can usually use the net via Bluetooth when I'm downstairs.

Not sure whether the Bluetooth adapter will work with Windows 2000... it should do!
