Guest Pagemakers Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 About 30% of the time why I try to answer calls on my E200 the phone just locks up requiring a re-boot. The call is not answered and I can not talk to the other partry nor can I hang up. Anyone else have this problem? It's just another in a long line of unfixed bugs that is rapidly making me want to throw this beta testing product in the bin.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Weird one :? Could it be connected to a caller ID app ?
Guest ifgy Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 answer the man, for god's sake .. ! I have a similar problem :|
Guest blewer Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I also get this problem now and again. Try to answer the call and nothing happens, the callers name just stays on the screen :?
Guest James Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 the only one i get is `unable to answer call` but very rare. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest [email protected] Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Has this happened to anyone "out of the box", without installing anything? Would You say that this is a hardware-, OS- or application issue?
Guest peekie Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 i had this problem as i used the old spv holder and by the time i got the phone out to answer it the phone was on the voicemail. the reason and it worked was the time limit on your voice mail i phoned orange nl and had the time extended , when you see the callers name on the screen and cannot get rid of it can be down to the keypad lock... try getting orange to reset the time on the phone it works by getting an them switching off the voicemail and you get a special code to type in 10 minutes later ,then reboot the phone and it works, i myself tryed to switch of all my divertings and it worked untill i checked agin and they were back on again, now after the reset all is perfect ,nothing like missing that inportant phonecall from the birds heh
Guest Pagemakers Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Has this happened to anyone "out of the box", without installing anything? Would You say that this is a hardware-, OS- or application issue? Happened to me pretty much out of the box. I don't really have that much stuff installed on my phone. peekie: I don't think this is the problem. I think it is buggy phone software.
Guest blewer Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 I think it is buggy phone software Me too. It has also happend to me a few times whilst using bluetooth. My bluetooth headset still beeps to tell me that I am getting a call, but I am unable to answer the call any way possible :? The only way to regain full usage of the phone again is to reboot. A real pain in the arse
Guest martin Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Hmmm this ones got me thinking. I have an idea (yep it happens from time to time) If I get a chance I'll check a couple of things tommorow.
Guest Kallisti Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 FWIW, this is not a software bug with the E200. If that were the case, it would happen to all users. It's a problem with your specific phone. Whether that's caused by other software you've installed, faulty buttons etc, I don't know, but it's likely to be fixed by replacing the phone (and the SIM, you never know!)
