Guest kamilsey Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 The guys over on The Register have announced the 1Gb SD card is now available.  At around £300 it aint cheap but will no doubt come down. Big question in my mind before I splash out is whether our smartphones support 1Gb cards? :?: :?: The Register

Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 House insurance is a precious thing....
Guest phonesmarts Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 1GB is out! wow. too bad for the cost... yes, smartphones do support 1 gb SDs.
Guest [email protected] Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Pjuh, you could get a brand new Smartphone for that amount. Even though this is highly cool, Smartphones are not fileservers.
Guest kalinte Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 your still better off buying ywo 512mb sd cards. plus you have two chance of losing it.

Guest ClintEastman Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 just been reading it..... would not want to lose one of those I lost the card Orange gave me to beta test with out of my SPV! That's not a problem with my MPx200, has a nice cover to the SD slot, nice work Moto!
Guest R4N6ER5-RE4DY Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I lost the card Orange gave me to beta test with out of my SPV! That's not a problem with my MPx200, has a nice cover to the SD slot, nice work Moto! I use a case from http://www.freedom-mobiles.co.uk on my canary. It has a cover over the SD slot. After removing the bulky belt clip, I was left with a pocket which holds 3 SD/sim cards.
Guest justafeind Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 how much do u think a 512 sd card is avalible for ie the cheepest :?:
Guest svk Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 I just bought a 512 MB SD card @ Circuit City in the US for about $130 after rebates. Best price I have seen yet. I found that 256 MB was a little small for holding apps, games, mp3's and some video so I upgraded. With 512 MB, I don't swap it out and I simply consider it part of the phone.
Guest phonesmarts Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 really? where do you live svk? i never found a deal like that...my 256 cost me $50 (i think its a good price)
