Guest Disco Stu Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Have been using Boma Soft Password Manager on E200 with no problems until today when I got the following message : “Failed to write records into the database. Last error: 87” I can enter my password but then the message comes up and won't clear. The only way out is to press the Home key but the message keeps coming back at random moments. For some reason also I can write texts but not use capitals shift or change to numeric/ABC mode and wonder if this is linked. Is that a standard Windows error message and does anyone know how to clear the problem ? Have emailed Boma suppport but they never usually respond  Thanks in advance EDIT : just found this on MSDN but need interpretation :? 87 illegal expression type; expected program relative Error
Guest davy Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 This is the response I got from Boma when I asked if there was a fix for this problem: "Do you have enough memory left in your phone? Maybe you should try to power off and power on your phonr and see what happen. Best Regards, Boma Software"  Got it working again by removing "Password" folder from my SD card then copied a back up "Password" folder (from my SD card backup stored on my PC) to the SD card. Created a new shortcut and Program is working again after re-inputting registration key. Didn't lose any of my passwords but my back up was only about a week old. For your info this failure happened shortly after a partial reset occurred on my Motorola MPx200. Don't know a fix if you don't have a back up though. davy.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Well at least you got a response from Boma  The good news is that I managed to get it working again using the same method as yer goodself  although I actually re-installed the app first. What I wonder is if there is any way of accessing the database file without Password Manager, just in case something worse happens. :?:
