Mio 8380 as an USB Modem

Hey Guys,

I have no clue where the problem is. I did got a file (USBMDM-5.INF) that is supposed to be the driver for the USB Modem.

I noticed it is for the HTC phones and not to the Mio specifically but I decided to try.

When I connect the Mio 8380 to my Windows XP machine, XP tries to install it and asks me for a driver. I point to the right place and no matter what I do it says there is nothing for my hardware there.

Resuming, looks like this driver does not work at all.

Has anyone got a Mio 8380 working as an USB modem under Windows XP? On my other machine it DOES work but using Infrared. As this TabletPC does NOT have infrared I need to use the USB interface.

Any help/pointers on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
