Guest teddybarrington Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Erm hi... I'm new, and after a good 8 years in the wilderness now have an mpx200 and a pc. w/ broadband. so hello. question - does anyone with an mpx200 (on Orange or otherwise) find themselves unable to sign out of hotmail? I turned my cookies off and got the "sign in" button up but after going to the home screen then re-connecting, found that I was still signed in. very confusing anyone? I take it it's impossible to have hotmail via the email client on the mpx200 as its "http" as opposed to "pop3" or something? :?
Guest Brody Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Welcome to the forum! :D If you were to become a MoDaCo Plus member then (after referring me ) you would gain access to a POP account that enables you to access hotmail, its great! :(
Guest teddybarrington Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Well, I may be tempted. No-one know about this problem then? I have to say that the Orange manual recommends a 3 hour initial charge as its a Li-Ion battery and shouldn't need much conditioning but I've read that it's still best to give them a 16 whack of charge at the start. Anyone a battery expert? The battery does seem pretty poor on the mpx200 as has already been discussed..... :?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Battery life on the MPX is very good for the OS, you should get 3 days with normal use and less if you play games and watch movies etc. The best advice for the battery is to keep it topped up but with a few hours charge. If you charge for a few minutes at a time you can damage the battery the same as letting it run out. Li-ion battery can be damaged if they are fully discharged. If you are finding battery problems then a good 12 hour charge overnight would be recommended.
