Guest rgautschi Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Is anyone else having issues using both an ipaq and a Smartphone with Activesync. I have my ipaq in the cradle charging all the time...when I add the Smartphone, Activesync ignores it unless I remove both and insert only the Smartphone. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to work, but if so...not convenient. Reese
Guest Ham Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Same here - tried on two machines, same results. I've even set up the Ipaq to use the serial port, and the phone to use USB, but ActiveSync is determined to only see one of them....
Guest rgautschi Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 It sure would be nice to have an upgrade from Microsfot that supports both devices...thanks for your reply.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 One of the biggest problems with Activsync is that it cannot handle more than one device at a time  What we need is an Activsync switcher.
Guest rgautschi Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Developers out there... RU Listening? I'd be first in line to buy the ability to have multiple devices sync without intervention.
Guest Godfather Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Ya, I get the same problem with active sync. It's a problem with active sync. I guess microsoft never thought about it the time when there was only pocket pc. Now there's smartphone as well, and I'm sure they will fix it soon. Cause it really is a pain!
Guest rgautschi Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 Activesync 4.0 anyone? Thanks again for the comments.
