Guest nato Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Wot version of ROM do you have ? I ask because there were some improvements made to the Radio stack with one of the updates that Orange provide.
Guest nato Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 I had this a couple of times on my e100, but that was before the update. Have you tried a hard reset ?
Guest lisalady Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 no..not yet....could u please remind me----switch on while holdin record button the what???
Guest nato Posted January 30, 2004 Report Posted January 30, 2004 Dont forget to sync your data, you will loose all data ! Hard reset : 1) Remove the battery and wait 5 seconds. Replace the battery 2) Press and Hold voice recorder button (below power button on the left) 3) Power-on the device 4) The device will enter a special power-up mode 5) "Card found" will be displayed on the screen 6) Shortly after you may receive two options: "Press any key to enter boot loader" "Press action button to enter diag mod" 7) Press and hold the Action button 8) After a few seconds a menu will be displayed 9) Select "Erase IPSM" and wait for the screen to display "PASSED" 10) Then move to the left with the navigation button and select "END" 11) A screen with three colours will be displayed You may now remove and replace the battery and perform a normal power up.
Guest lisalady Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 thanks for help....i'll wait and see if it solves the prob cheers
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 the latest one 1.6 (i think) If you do have the latest update then it's a known bug. Do you have good reception where you are? I have this fault if I lose my signal, on returning to a good signal area the phone does not register that reception is back. To fix this all you need to do is power offon the phone again (reboot).
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 10) Then move to the left with the navigation button and select "END" 11) A screen with three colours will be displayed You may now remove and replace the battery and perform a normal power up. The End option has not been around since the V0.93 bootloader so a after you get the message PASSED all you need to do is press and hold the power button until the phone starts to reboot. The phone will take a while to boot up the first time as it has to rewrite the IPSM.
