Extend ringing time.

Hi all, I dont know if this has been covered before but I discovered it today through ringing Orange on a general inquiry. If you are on an orange Tariff and have voicemail, dont you find it annoying that your phone only rings for twenty seconds before going to mail. Well I did, hardly enough time to get The phone out your bag or pocket if your talking to somebody already so I rang Orange with this query. They replied that you can extend the ringing time before going to mail only by a paltry 10 seconds though to max of 30 seconds. Not a great deal I know but does allow me to listen to a bit more of the old ring tone and does give me a bit more time to locate the phone if needs be.

Anyway to do it you need to do this. > Press **61*07973100123**30#and then press GREEN Handset KEY and then follow on screen directions. Dont know if this will work on all latest phones but works on my SPV Classic. Anyway may be of some use to someone.

I tried this on my C500, but it did not work. Why not just disable call divert.

I am on Orange, and I have the C500, but when I pressed those keys I get "Command not supported", thanks for the effort though :D

Yes, PAYG. I suppose I could just ask Orange to disable the answer phone function!

That's weird 'cos I am also on PAYG on Orange and have C500, but it didn't work on my phone, why should that be?

On Vodafone pressing 1210 and the green phone key to send the request will make the phone ring for ages.

I can't understand why Orange make the distinction between PAYG and contract on this one, but then there's a lot that orange do that can't be explained by anyone other than maybe Mulder or Scully!

You just need to use the format **61*(voice mail number)**30#

You can get the Voice mail number from your phone settings.
