Guest scott2eyes Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 If you find the 'hints, tricks and modifications' thread in the Articles section, it runs through the basics, and has a link to the full Microsoft guide on the Microsoft website. Basically, you need to put the Skin together, which consists of the background image, the images which appear when buttons are pushed, and the SKN file (which is a text file detailing where the buttons, video files and information about what's playing are on the screen.) The default files are in the Windows folder on the phone, called wmplayer.gif, pushed.gif, disabled.gif and wmplayer.skn- the easiest way is to load these and modify them. Then you need to edit the registry to tell the phone to use your skin files (you can just save over the ones in the Windows folder, but you'll lose them when you switch your phone off.)
