Guest trioptimum Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Where do I put theme fiels in windows mobile 2003, on my xphone? Microsoft's theme creation utility wouldn't copy them over, telling me I didn't have a 2002 device... even thoguh the website says it's supported under 2003. I can make the file but I have no idea where to put it. Any better theme creation utilities for the 2003 OS out there? Or does anyone know where to put my pre-created ones on the phone? Also, I have no idea what types of ringotnes are supported in the new OS besides wav and midi and where to put them o nthe phone and/or SD card. Anyone know? Thanks in advance if you know either one . -matt Edit: Added ringtone question.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Ringtones can be placed in StorageApplication DataSounds or in Storage CardMy Documents As for a complete list of ringtone formats I am not entirely sure as I do not own an xphone,E200,8080 etc  Home screens (just the images) can go in StorageApplication DataHome and the same location on the storage card as Sounds. If you download any home screen themes they will be in a .hme format these need to be installed so place them in StorageWindowsStart MenuAccessories Now on the phone go to StartAccessories and select and run the hamescreen file you have just placed there, it will now self install.
Guest trioptimum Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Excellent, got the themese working . Though when I make them using the microsoft utility it makes a white bar at the bottom. Maybe because it;'s made for the 2002 OS. Anyone know of a better skin designing program?
