Thank you
Guest martin Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Hi ekachaiz It sounds like your almost there  You should have a G permanently displayed in the top centre of the phone. Set the Internet Connection to Vodafone GPRS Goto Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Conenctions and tick 'Auto detect settings' Now try accessing the internet page i.e www.google.com What is the size of the MMS file that you are trying to send ? Vodafone had a max MMS size of 30K and I'm not sure if that has changed. Start by sending an MMS to yourself containg text only. Have you used your SIM for MMS before ? If not then contact Vodafone customer services and make sure that MMS has been activated on your account.
Guest ekachaiz Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 yup there's a 'G' on top of the display tried what you've said but still cannot open any web page yet. After sometime it will display the page you are looking for cannot be found.. i wonder is it because of proxy setting?? under Proxy: Connects from: Internet Connect to: wap Network Proxy (name/port): 212.183.137.012:9201 Type: wap User name: [email protected] Password: user not sure if this is right.. Thank you for your help
Guest ekachaiz Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 oh! yup i did try my SIM on other phone to send MMS before and it works.
Guest martin Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 Oops, sorry ekachaiz. I wasn't paying proper attention  Old school habit  It's a WAP APN Set the WAP connection : Vodafone GPRS Goto Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connection, untick 'Auto detect settings' and make 'Select Network: WAP network'. This will force the WAP connection which is better is you are only using Vodafone GPRS WAP. Now try accessing the WAP internet page i.e wsp://www.google.com/wml If that doen't work then try changing username=wap, password=wap. I would get the WAP via IE working first and then tackle MMS.
