Guest lowbug Posted February 1, 2004 Report Posted February 1, 2004 I nipped out today and bought a BT200 headset. Alot of people seem to use them on this forum. Is it normal for the bluetooth range to be very poor? Like if the phone to the left of me and the headset to the right the audio signal crackles and pops and you can't hear anything? Is this normal or do i need to exchange it?
Guest Will Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 depends what equipment is around it really, i got 10m+ yesterday, phone in car, me outside, line of sight, in the countryside of devon.. By my pc's i get 4m max before it's unuseable! Will
Guest Rob.P Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 I get that if I put the phone in my pocket, but like Will says sometimes it's ok sometimes it crackles. All depends on what's about at the time I think.
Guest mardeman Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 I sometimes have crackle, but find once the headset is on for a few seconds it is OK. I am more frustrated that sometimes when bluetooth is switched on, and so is the Jabra, I often cannot pick up a call through bluetooth, and end up calling the person back - to my expence. Anybody else had that ????
