How long before contract expires have you upgraded?

Hi,

What's the longest anyone has upgraded to an SPV e200 before their contract expires? Mine expires in May - I want to get the phone for free with no upgrade fee, and hopefully some extra texts and/or double minutes. I've heard this is all possible if you only have a few weeks left on your contract (by phoning the disconnections department), but has anyone tried to upgrade when they have several months left and got a similar deal?

It can all depend on how much you spend on your account each month

as whether you can upgrade early or not.

had five months left on my contract but got free upgrade just phoned and asked????? must have been a good day at orange or the fortune i spend there.
