Guest welshdragon Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 hi all was wandering how 2 replace my backed up cemail.vol.....just keep getting access denied... thanks
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 you cannot edit/replace cemail when it is being used by the system.
Guest smittyofdhs Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 you need to remane the file, then reboot the device. Rename the file to cemail.bad, then reboot the device. The OS will recreate the cemail.vol. Then you can delete the .bad file.
Guest dude55 Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 The only I've managed to do it, is to copy over whatever I had renamed it to e.g. cemail.vol3 or cemail.bad, then use regedit to change the value of DbPath in HKCU/Software/Microsoft/MAPI
