Guest biffsmash Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Hi, I would like to apologise in advance if this has been answered already but I cant find this info anywhere. Basically I am having trouble getting bluetooth to work with my SPV e200. My old phone was a nokia 3650 and my bluetooth adapter is a sitecom cn-500. With my old phone i could pair with my pc and other phones, then transfer files, like pictures, to and from the devices. My "smart" phone will pair/bond with both the devices but refuses to send or receive files via bluetooth. I have tried setting up activesync with bluetooth but my pc says the phone doesnt support a serial bluetooth connection, and the handset says it cant find a serial or activesync compatible device to connect with. The only services i can set up for this phone are, using the phone as a modem for my pc which i have absolutely no use for, or using my pc as some sort of speaker phone for the mobile while its in range of the pc. All I want to do is be able to send pics to and from the phone to other phones and/or my pc :D I really hope it does this as this is the only reason me or any of my friends used/use bluetooth for :( edit: I live in england in the UK, I phoned Orange, my mobile network, and they say they dont support file transfer and that the bluetooth in the phone is purely for headsets?!!? omg my friends are gonna have a field day, even my old nokia 3650 and the camera one before it transferred files > Thanks. Biffy.
Guest James Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 go to beams in the settings and set it to on... i think. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest MrMagoo Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 you need to search a bit better for the activesync problems - there a quite a few threads about that.... as far as sending files, i believe SmartExplorer can do this now...
