Sending mms - finding out if message sent

Hi,

I recently sent an MMS picture message to a mate of mine. Before the 1.61 Orange update, what would happen is that my SPV would display 'connecting', then 'sending' and during this sending a scrolling bar would arcoss the screen to indicate the progress, followed by a message sent icon.

Anyway, the last few days I've tried sending an MMS message, but the scrolling bar did not appear on sending, and no indication was made as to whether the message was sent or not. Thererfore, I ended up sening it about 5 times before being told by the person i was sending it to that they had recieved it 5 times!!! What I find especially annoying is that I selected a delivery report for the MMS, but I received nothing.

Any ideas how to fix this, and anyone else had a similar prob?
