Any other software for MMS.....Help

I've been trying to reinstall IA Album from the original cd after doing a Hard Reset, MMS has been reinstalled, it starts the install then goes to Add/Remove programs but doesn't show IA Album in the list. It just won't allow me to reinstall. Any advise for a newbie would be of help!

I've got Orange stumped and Motorola well they don't seem to have any technical support, I had a P800 before and the technical support from Sony Ericsson could not be faulted! Please help.....

You need to look in the IPSM/Windows/AppMgr/Install folder (Storage/Windows/etc on WM2003) which is where all the files get dumped after failed installations.

I believe you can't install anything else when there is anything in here so delete all the contents.

Leave all the other folders in AppMgr as they are needed by the Add/Remove Programs routine

Thanks for such quick reply......using smart explorer I navigated to that folder but it appears to be empty..........is there anywhere else these files could reside?

You could check that all the other folders in AppMgr are for games & apps you have actually still got installed.

I've got into the habit of weeding the AppMgr folder because I'm always un-installing stuff I'm not using and the temp files take up a bit of room.

Other than that I don't know.

you have to do that on your phone you can't see these on computer

you can also use PHM Registry Editer and go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESecurityAppInstall

and delete key in there of app you don't have on your phone¨

but maybe you can try to do a new hard reset
