Guest njoYz Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004  ppl i need help.. i bought an spv in ebay when i put my sim card it seems to be ok.. but.. later.. when i open some applications or i do something it appears "network denied.. searching"... i dont understand .. it was supposed to be full unlocked.. thanks... (ps: sorry my english  )
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 Unless you have a dodgy SIM card, it sounds like you have been ripped off I'm afraid  unfortunately there are a lot of stolen phones on ebay and stolen phones get blocked. If I was you I would phone up Orange and give them the IMEI number and find out if it has been blocked. If it as then you will need to try and get your money back off the seller.
Guest njoYz Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 but the phone works fine.. the message just appears sometimes, and then i reboot the phone and it works again.. : weird?
Guest smeg36 Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 I used to get that message on my SPV when I didn't have a network signal. I don't get a signal at my house, and just after I left the coverage area, I would get network denied, shortly before it went to no signal. I don't know why, but it scared me at first to.

Guest martin Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 ive had network denyed for 6 days now, o say its handset... but i can still veiw lists of network providers. so to hayes it goes... Have you checked in Settings-Telephony-Networks that the Network selection is set to Automatic ? Have you tried your SIM in another phone ? Do any other SIMS work in your phone ? Is it a old SIM card ? (depending on the above it might be worth asking for a another SIM card).
Guest squall Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 yeah tried everything, its not software on the phone, thought. tried a few different simcards from various networks to. is a strange one, be interested to see what haynes say

Hayes may just end up just swapping out the board  It should still be interesting to see if they actually diagnose anything.
