Guest londonlad Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 well ive ordered my e200 seems like im making a big mistake cos all i hear is praise for the mpx200 and complaints bout the e200. that and the moto is £20 cheaper. Some questions: Is the moto really that stable? and battery life that much better cos im hearing 3 days is standard!? and the e200 is it really that bad? from the issues raised my main concern is the battery and joystick (there aint anything to get round this is there?), bluetooth is sorted with that free app as long as it works. how does everything else work? cos i really dont wanna have the stress of dealing wit a phone that cant do the basics, know what i mean, otherwise im gonna give it abck and get T630 or somethin :roll: anyway let me know your experiences

It was definately an improvement on my original SPV right out of the box and once the sd card was identified as the cause of the poor battery light it's battery life was stretched to a good two days, almost three days between charges (this is leaving the SD card out and low usuage). The screen is superb (maybe too good, I've heard suggestions that could be the reason for the poor battery life), and I've never liked clamshell phones. I couldn't handle having to open my phone everytime I needed to check the calender or see if I've missed a call (as regularly happens). But it's a question of what's best for you. The E200 isn't so new anymore and I wouldn't be surprised if some excellent new piece of kit is right round the corner (not that I'll be interested if it's another clamshell)...
Guest londonlad Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 good to hear it! thats what i was wonderin, whether the e200 is really that bad or that no one talks of the good side of it. 2 days is good enough for me, if its always about 2 days depending on usage. i dont know which phone is better for me cos i play a lot of games so the moto d-pad would be brilliant but then i know exactly what you mean when you talk bout opening the phone to check the calender! i never liked flip phones. and i guess messenger over bluetooth thro broadband is somethin else! as for the next big thing round the corner, well, its exactly that! the voq not really my thing and since manufacture of mpx220 is now at the end of quarter 2. theres nothin for awhile. well 1stop said next day delivery so i was expecting it today (like you would wit any other mail order) but its probably gonna take long cos of the credit check. see how it goes now...

Guest MECX Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 Ivegot both and the MPX is far better. Battery life sucks on the E200 and the joystick is crap. Camera is good on the E200 tho and bluetooth is nice---but i never use these so its still the MPX for me :lol:
Guest londonlad Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 well, i got the e200 today, yeah got buzzin speaker but is only bad when i hear recorded option, especially on customer services. nice slick phone, loading everythin on, anyone know where i can get gbc/nes roms? email me the links, i dont think they like the links here :lol: it all depends on the battery if its good enough then i wont give back other than that it is a very good phone!, i mean that!
Guest londonlad Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 some issues ive got: buzzing, white line at bottom of the screen, crashed twice. other than that its cool. what ive noticed (by playin street fighter alpha on gnuboy) that if you wanna do a diagnal jump then do a anti/clockwise with the joystick. the impresion i get is that the joystick at the bottom end is too small to touch two directions at one time.other than that though i thing it can handle diagonals! So if theres any internal pics let me know. might be tempted to modify it, if its true.
