Guest shaaad Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I can sync fine etc.. but when I click the explore button in MS ActiveSync, or 'mobile device' from windows explorer it opens an empty window.. nothing is hidden.. it's just completely empty.. refresh does nothing. I tried copying a small text file into the window and it does nothing.. no errors.. just nothing. Any ideas? This is the second mpx200 I have had that behaves like this. Nick
Guest phonesmarts Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 try regular "windows explorer"...it should pop up as "my smartphone" or something below your shared docs or net places if you have those trees. either that, or try unistalling active sync and set up a new partnership.
Guest scott2eyes Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I get the same thing when I reconnect, but not the first time I connect for some reason- I think the theory is that it's something to do with firewalls. But restarting my computer seems to clear the problem- hope that works for you too.
Guest ProfH Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I've had this problem already - only had the phone a few hours (had similar things with many USB devices in the past). Connects from fresh but then when you go back and reconnect later, it doesn't recognise it. Try closing down all instances of Windows Explorer, minimise the sync app to the systray, then right click the icon in the systray and select 'explore'. This seems to force a refresh. If this fails, a reboot is in order... HTH
