Headset Profile Problem (Yes another one..)

The temporary fix that some users have mentioned does not work for me.

I have however done a bit of research into my particular problem of the SPV (Original) thinking its in headset mode.

I have found that if i use something small and metal, such as a needle and make a contact at end on the inside of the headphone connector it will stay on 'Normal' until i take it away again and it goes back to 'headset'. Sometimes you have to place the needle in a correct place (pointing downwards, instead of upwards as some people have suggested).

Id like to know if anybody would be willing to make a program that can change between profiles MANUALLY instead of it doing it automatically, hell id even pay some one to make such a program. Either that or can a program be made to alter the profile settings for headset and allow the original speaker and microphone to be used instead/as well. That will at least minimise the problem.

My phone is no longer under warranty and repairs are not possible as prices are extortionate in my area.

Anybody out there? heeeelllp heh.

i have the same problem.

the registry edit trick only fix the ringing but you can't hear the caller nor could you answer via mouthpiece.

is there another registry trick which could solve this prob?

I doubt if anything more can be done to fix this since it's a hardware problem.

Which registry editing trick are we talking about here? If anything could let me have ringing out of the speaker with the headphones connected, I would be very happy indeed!
