Guest martin Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Hi there Not entirely sure about getting rid of the roaming indicator but I do remember someone clearing it by getting a new SIM from their network provider. Maybe this SIM reported the US roaming partners as local networks ? If you click on GPRS settings you should find what you need to setup GPRS on the phone  Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest McHale Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 who is your home service provider and where are you located?
Guest seanjon Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 New Jersey, and it would be t-mobile for the service provider. So I guess if I change my sim card it will clear roaming icon? or no? Let me know.... Sean
Guest McHale Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Where you are, there may not be any T-Mobile towers. So you really are roaming. Phone is probably behaving properly. You may be on Cingular or AT&T (or some mom and pop). If you call T-Mobile tech support from your cell phone, they can tell you who's tower you're on and your roaming status. That's what I would do. -Mc
Guest seanjon Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Cool, Thanks for all the help! I got it set up proper! Respectfully, Sean
