It used to show Orange, and then I replaced it with my own logo and it worked fine for a month but now nothing appears. If I power on with the flip open I cant even see the Motorola logo (not sure if I should or not?) Theres a one pixel dot in the corner of the screen.

Sounds like the file has either been corruptdeleted or the phone has forgotton the file path.

When the flip is closed I presume the normal display is there?

Update. The Motorola symbol IS there on startup. I can get the phone to display the original logo but cannot get it to display anything else. I've checked, double-checked and triple-checked the path and the logo's are ok. I even tried copying the original logo to ISPMWindowsOrangeLogo.bmp and amended the reigstry path but no joy. Any ideas peeps?

After doing the change have you rebooted the phone again?

yes i've rebooted numerous times this evening :-)

dammit :-(

something else i've noticed (again cant remember if its always been like this) when i close the flip the backlight comes on one second before the time/date display. it kind of fades in like the phones too cold or too hot.

Hi

I read (past tense) this thread with interest.

I have same prob. Edited orange logo, saved to ISPMwindowsfilename.bmp, then changed the reg entry for flipscreen logopath to correspond. All I got was a single pixel in the corner, not my design. Don't know what I might be doing wrong? A new development today is that the screen now shows the earpiece volume whenever the flip is open. Any ideas chaps?

PS. KJK, I tried to install something like simTK UI I think. Is that what may be doing it? I did uninstall it, but ran a search on explorer, which found files remaining...... :?

I see your problem Kristian, as I had the same. Your filepath needs to read IPSM, not ISPM as you have above. Try that. Hope it helps......

You have to use a negative image as that is the way the LCD works.

Please try before posting :)

Try my link above as it contains two images for you to play with, then you can see what I mean.

The LCD back light should come on when you close the flip.
