Guest kristianmatthews Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 It used to show Orange, and then I replaced it with my own logo and it worked fine for a month but now nothing appears. If I power on with the flip open I cant even see the Motorola logo (not sure if I should or not?) Theres a one pixel dot in the corner of the screen.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Sounds like the file has either been corruptdeleted or the phone has forgotton the file path. When the flip is closed I presume the normal display is there?
Guest kristianmatthews Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 Update. The Motorola symbol IS there on startup. I can get the phone to display the original logo but cannot get it to display anything else. I've checked, double-checked and triple-checked the path and the logo's are ok. I even tried copying the original logo to ISPMWindowsOrangeLogo.bmp and amended the reigstry path but no joy. Any ideas peeps?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 After doing the change have you rebooted the phone again?
Guest kristianmatthews Posted February 9, 2004 Report Posted February 9, 2004 yes i've rebooted numerous times this evening :-) dammit :-( something else i've noticed (again cant remember if its always been like this) when i close the flip the backlight comes on one second before the time/date display. it kind of fades in like the phones too cold or too hot.
Guest kjk Posted February 10, 2004 Report Posted February 10, 2004 havr you tried to install smart tweak ?? if yes ! so remove this and see it help i'm not sure but i think smart tweak dion't work on mpx200

Guest Jandy Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Hi I read (past tense) this thread with interest. I have same prob. Edited orange logo, saved to ISPMwindowsfilename.bmp, then changed the reg entry for flipscreen logopath to correspond. All I got was a single pixel in the corner, not my design. Don't know what I might be doing wrong? A new development today is that the screen now shows the earpiece volume whenever the flip is open. Any ideas chaps? :?: Jandy
Guest Jandy Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 PS. KJK, I tried to install something like simTK UI I think. Is that what may be doing it? I did uninstall it, but ran a search on explorer, which found files remaining...... :?
Guest Jandy Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Update. I see your problem Kristian, as I had the same. Your filepath needs to read IPSM, not ISPM as you have above. Try that. Hope it helps......
Guest stevo316 Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 i have same prob.. just a dot in the bottom right corner!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 The problem is likely to be the type of file or the location and path you have set. Try my post and do exactly as it says. http://modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=97238&st...=asc&highlight=
Guest stevo316 Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Now i have sorted it.. the picture comes up.. BUT the colours ae inverted, whats that about?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 You have to use a negative image as that is the way the LCD works.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Please try before posting :) Try my link above as it contains two images for you to play with, then you can see what I mean.
Guest stevo316 Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 yeah.. i have sorted my first probs.. but now when the flip is open, and it shows me the logo.. he backlight isnt on.. why not!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 The LCD back light should come on when you close the flip.
