Mitac is dead... How can I revive it?

Hey, I have a Mitac Mio 8380 and basically when i try to turn it on the LED lites the illuminate the keypads come on but neither of the 2 screens will do anything.

I am thinking that the firmware or some sort of important software on my phone must be corrupt since NEITHER of the LCD screens are working i dont think theyt are broken and the battery seems fine since the lights do come on.

I dont know what happened to it. I lent it to someone for a few days and then this problem occured.

Is it possible to get the software for a mitac mio anywhere? I know that u can get uprades, but i dont think there is anything there to upgrade..

ANY IDEAS are welcome and i appreciate your time and comments.

try to do a hardreset! press the voice rec button an then turn on the phone!

I'd like to know what happened to this problem. Was it solved by a hard reset? Reason for asking is because my mio 8380 is in the same state but a hard reset doesn't do the trick, I can't even get into the ROM Update screen. Happened after I tried to update the ROM.
