Unable to get into Date and Time menu

Hello people,

I am unable to get into the date and time menu to set my alarm.

Does anyone know how this is possible? I'm using some of french guys homescreens like LCDplug and B&O in combination with the LCDplugin and the Alarm plugin.

At first I thought it might be due to the fact that I'm using the above "french" skins (from smartphony.org, not suggesting the language is the problem though) in combination with the needed plugin (alarm and lcd). But when changing to the original skin supplied with my MPx200 I still can't get into the date and time menu. The OS says "Error, the settings can't be opened" (translated from Dutch).

Can anyone tell me their opinion about this? I'm confused because I have already tried a reboot of my phone and am NOT going to do a hard reset. This frustrates me because I use the alarm everyday, but not on the same time. I know there is a alarm in the homescreen that one could use but I would like the built in date and time menu to stay available for use.

some help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi again...

Well, I've done a hard reset as you said.....It workt ok again thanks....

BUT!!!! When I installed my usual software....it happened again...the problem is that I don't know what software causes this....any idea?

Here is a list of the software I'm using:

Binarys SP taskmanager

MMS Moto software

Moto Album

Moto Filemanager

Oxios todo

PHM regedit

pocketmusic

pocketmvp

richie alarm plugin

Bang olufsen skin

Imeter +dutch language downloaded from modaco

Twyx LCDplug.

Is it possible that the lcdplugin1,5 (containing alarm mechanism also) is the cause of this?

thanks for reply!!

The two plugins are prime contenders for the problem you are having.

In effect you are trying to tweak the phone twice and it's one thing it does not like to do.

I've managed to nuke my entire contact list by altering the registry with tweaks.

ok mate that's a good tip....I uninstalled the alarm plugin since I only use homescreens wich use the LCDPlug but that doesn't solve the problem...

think I should do another hard reset and only install the lcdplugin?

I don't wanna!!!

Hi again!

It's still no use removing all the plugins that could have caused this...

Does anyone know a solution where I won't have to do a hard reset?

Please guys!!

Unless you know the exact registry settings that have been altered,

and restore them back to the original state then it's unlikely that

there is another solution.

Hi,

I just got this phone and played with it for 1 week. I had this issue as well.

Solution may be in your Regional Settings. I found that I received this error after I chose the "dd.mm.yy" format for the "Short date style" option. If you change it to "dd/mm/yy" setting the issue is gone.

Troubleshooting done:

1. I thought it was the software I loaded in. Thus, I removed all programs and did a soft boot. Issue still there.

2. Did a hard reset. Issue resolved. Issue returned after I changed several phone settings.

3. Did a 2nd hard reset. Changed setting by setting and found that the Short date style setting was the issue.

Try it and good luck.
