Just called Orange about E200 issues...

Spoke to a lovely chap called 'James' (soz, didn't think to get his surname).

I asked him about Buzzing (have since started noticing this problem, earlier I thought I was buzz-free), Battery life and BT issues.

According to him and his 'Known Issues Board' there are 'No known issues with your handset'.

I told him about this forum, and the vast number of users here who have reported problems and his reply was that unless a certain number of people call up to complain about the phone, Orange will not recognise the issue as being a problem.

So either not enough of us are actually doing something about the problems, or Orange are lying through their teeth and doing their best to cover the whole fiasco up.

I can't understand how the former is likely as so many of you have reported replacement handsets having the same issues, so you must have called up to complain in the first place, which must mean the latter is more likely. What to do....

For once Orange is actually telling the truth!

I know, surprised me too.... :!:

They have an "Identified Network Issues Board Type Thing", which they can inform people if they have identified handset/network problems.

I don't think it gets up dated too quickly though.

They always say, "there's no ETA for this problem"...... :!:

Pants really, isn't it?!

Um, doesn't ETA mean Estimated Time of Arrival? So, they spend their time estimating when their next problem's going to be?!

I'm not sure how you interpreted my post as being supportive of Orange, what I'm trying to say is they're lying about it!

3 people in the chat room today, and ocuntless others on the forum have said they have complained about this handset, so how on earth can their troubleshooting / known issue board be empty?!

I'll be calling again tomorrow to try and find out more about updates, see if I can get through to someone who has the authority to admit there is a problem, as this guy clearly didn't.

Have just spoken to someone else at Orange about this handset. This time it was refreshing to talk to someone who clearly knew what he was talking about.

He said they've had multiple reports about battery life, and that he hoped an update would resolve the issue much like the update for the E100 did (his words - I have no experience with the E100), but couldn't provide an ETA :/

I like this phone, so I'm going to stick with it and have faith that an update will be released soonish that will hopefully increase it's battery life. *crosses fingers*
