I love my new SPV, but why wont the volume turn down

I got my SPV E200 yesterday and I love it. Already I need to increase the size of my SD card.

Only problem is the volume. It may sound a little stupid, but I cant seem to decrease it enough, so it ends up being too loud and I cant hear the other person.

I decreased it on the side bar all the way, and I can still just hear it a metre away from me. Is this normal?

Or is there another way of decreasing the volume which I could not find in the manual.

It may be on speakerphone mode :?

I've only had mine a week.

I know how to put it into speakerphone mode-press and hold the call button, but I don't know how to change it back - perhaps press and hold the call button again? :?

Yeah I checked that, but thats not the problem. (Probably a manufacturing prob)

Will take it to the orange shop tommorow and see if they have any idea. Otherwise it will have to go back before it makes me deaf
