I have to seek help now!! after posting my reply before my internet was fine, now after trying to make changes to use MMS, my phone will now no longer connect to the internet! i have used the above settings but still nothing, the message i get is :

UNABLE TO CONNECT. VERIFY YOUR DIAL UP OR PROXY SETTINGS ARE CORRECT, AND TRY AGAIN.

Does anyone have a clue as to that changes i may have made without realising? please help!

Try deleting ALL existing dialup, proxy and GPRS connections and entering the settings again.

GREAT POST

After getting my phone unlocked from Orange, it took me almost all last weekend to get the GPRS internet working, and I still hadn't got the WAP done. Thank you.
