sent email sync problem

Just got an MPX200 and managed to sync with my pc yesterday, the diary email inbox and contacts went across perfectly.

However I can't get it to save any sent emails that I create on the phone. If I either send a new email or reply the email sits in the outbox on the phone until I sync it. Then I can see it move to the outbox on my PCs Outlook and then when the next send/receive happens it goes correctly. However it doesn't save it in the Sent items folder either on the phone nor on the PC. this is a big problem for me because I won't use email on the phone unless I can save these.

I've set the option on the phone to save sent items.

Am I doing something dim? Or is this a problem with the smartphone system?
