Guest craigblade Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I'm considering getting an spv e200. Just wondering about the buzzing - do you think that all the spve200s are identical - is it just that some people seem to NOTICE this buzzing more than others. Or, do you believe that it differs between different batch models of the e200? craig
Guest spacemonkey Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I just got an e200 yesterday, haven't made many calls... but I got some buzzing kind of behaviour. Interestingly the buzzing was in a situation where I normally get bad reception/choppiness so it almost seems to me that the data-> speech codec on the e200 is trying to make up data in a way that turns choppiness into buzzing. Just my impression. I've had a few calls on it that were clear enough for my liking.
Guest James Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 have a read here mate:- http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=9787...t=batch+numbers
Guest ferret Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 When I listen to the SPV + SPVe200, to me it seems that the SPV is a lot more "top heavy" compared to the e200, in calls, music through WMP, speakerphone etc. Coming from a sound engineer point of view it would be interesting to see (if this can be done) if rolling of some of the bass frequencies cured the buzzing. i.e. too much base causing the speaker cone to rattle (and yes I know cones are supposed to resonate - but rattling too much). Just my thought.
Guest James Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 i would swap my E200 sound for my old E100 sound any day, i find the E200 very muffled and flat when in a call.
Guest londonlad Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 do you want the cure? press the e200 to the side of your head between the cheek bone and the ear, ahh perfectly clear, but i wouldnt recommend it from a deadly radiation point of view
Guest martin Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 You could always it the side of your head. Hands free and buzz free
