Guest kjk Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I DID A SEARCH I DON'T FIND SO HERE IS IT When running any version of ActiveSync, there are instances where it is handy to get rid of it temporarily. For instance, sometimes this application we all have come to love and hate appears to totally lock up. The only way to get it to run properly again is to restart your PC. Or you own two different devices and would like to run the other PDA''s sync program but can''t because ActiveSync is running -- very annoying. KillActiveSync is a simple PC application that will properly shut down ActiveSync until the next reboot or manual ActiveSync restart. and it is free click HERE fo more information
Guest Palindrome Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Handy little tool. Saves killing the Windows XP process through Task Manager.
Guest Palindrome Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 On a second note, I would also find it useful if it killed the process AND stopped activesync from loading with Windows. I prefer to start activesync when I want it and not having it running all the time. It's quite a pain removing it from the MSCONFIG startup window.
