Guest keeran Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Try this software out: http://research.microsoft.com/~jiangli/portrait/ Very very cool stuff  Kee :D)
Guest nelkz Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 it wont install on my phone....
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 it doens't install on my phone either - i think the website is pointing at the wrong file. i think the file that it claims supports SP2003 is actually just for PPC.
Guest pisquee Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Really the subject should have question marks and not exclamations.
Guest nelkz Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Really the subject should have question marks and not exclamations. well thanks for that usefull advice !!!!!!!
Guest davo141 Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 well it made me think that u did use it as a webcam.. so i was rather excited to read your post.. then i was disapointed that it was actually a question!
Guest James Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 yes.. i would help other users if you would use only question marks for a question. thanks Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest peekie Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 webcams are so cheep now why use the spv?? but you never know what the future brings
Guest Gus Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 If you are having problems with portrait, look in the Prog filesMs acitvesynepotrait folder on your pc, and copy accross the cab file meant for the smartphone, as I dound the installed copied across the wrong file. After that it installed fine. Haven't managed to actually get it working yet though. I did get sound when I tried it on my original spv though.
Guest peekie Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004  will have to look on my spv e200 as i tryed it before to install the prog but it failed to work
Guest nedge2k Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 To my knowledge portrait has never worked properly anyway. I used to have it way back and u needed a .net passport, then once you got it you would still get connection errors. Jus buy a cam.
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I already own a webcam, but I liked the idea of having a wireless bluetooth one. That way I can run around the house with it!
Guest londonlad Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 from what i know, its not a bluetooth cam, its more thro' gprs and someone had it working said that it only allows you to see someone elses webcam, so you wont be able to use it as a webcam
Guest mattscholey Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Portrait doesn't have a camera option. londonlad is right: you can only use it to see someone elses webcam. Its great for that if it it wasnt so expensive. Matt
Guest yoos Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 This guy does it the other way around, which is interesting.... http://www.msmobilenews.com/?cid=272
Guest mattscholey Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 This guy does it the other way around, which is interesting.... http://www.msmobilenews.com/?cid=272 Microsoft portrait does this very well, and it's private. GPRS calls make this very expensive though. Can't wait for SD Wi-fi! Matt
