moving contacts from my old Vodafone Sim to new SPV?

ok if i get an SPV soon ill want to transfer all my contacts from my current phone. At the moment i have a Nokia 8310 and all the numbers are stored on the phone. I can store them on my sim no problem but its a Vodafone sim

whats the best way of getting them over to my new SPV (when i get one)

can i put the sim from the Orange SPV in my voda, copy the numbers onto that from my nokia, then put the orange sim back in the SPV? can numbers be stored on the simcard for use in the SPV?

When you get your SPV, do the Orange Update and get Contacts Wizard.

Then enable IR on your 8310, and Contact Wizard will be able to read your contacts directly off the phone and sim card and copy them to your SPV address book

cool..........this may be obvious when i get the phone, but how do u do orange updates?>

also, while we're on the subject are there windows updates like there are on the pc variants?
