Guest drh Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Hi I am new on here and am about to get an E200 but one thing is bothering me about it, The guy in the orange shop has said it will not allow a call to be diverted to another phone. Can anyone else either agree or dispell this fact for me???
Guest James Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Welcome to the site..... that must be rubish! You have got 'Call Forwarding' in the options:- 1. Unconditional 2. No Reply 3. Busy 4. Unavailable then you can set a phone number to forward to. dont use it though.....
Guest greyt Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Unfortunately you have to use the menu structure to enable and disable diverts. You can't use **21*... etc from the phonebook
Guest drh Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Hi, Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I know they are there but when the guy did a demo in the shop it accepted the changes and then simply reverted to the old settings again meaning that this function did not work. Any chance you can try it out?
Guest newquay_kev Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Hi drh, I've just tried the call forwarding on my e200 for the first time. No problems at all. :-) I think the guy in the orange shop probably doesn't know what he's doing, or he has a faulty demo unit. jlowap said it best - "that must be rubish". And it is. Kev
Guest Rob.P Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Definately works as I use it on a regular basis. Usually stick the phone on charge upstairs and divert to the landline, save me running up and down the stairs, not that I'm lazy or anything :)
Guest Terence_Chan Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Can I raise another question? Is there any chance we can use some kind of "shortcut" or "speed dial" to do call divert, i.e. dial **21*9999999#?
Guest paulgibson Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I use the diverts on a regular basis to divert my line2 business line to the office when i'm not around, and have a speed dial set using **21*[number]*11#[green call key] and it works fine everytime. Paul

Paul Are you using an E200? Whenever I try and divert from an entry in the phonebook I get an error "Service Codes must be enteredDirectly from the phone's keypad". Just tried setting it as a speed dial and get the same message
