Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Is there anything the MPX can do that the E200 cant?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 run more stable and faster  due to a better configured OS
Guest mcwarre Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 lat for more than a day (with usage) before having to charge the battery
Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 So the E200 has much better features basically..
Guest mcwarre Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Just an integral camera (external ones available for MPx), bluetooth (which kills the battery) and Windows Mobile 2003. So not 'much' better really; also consider E200 drawbacks. Battery life nearly as bad as the NEC606, which is saying something, a lot of people have buzzing problems, nowhere near as stable as MPx. So about even tbh. Although I would get the MPx200 if I were you (but hey I am biased cos thats what I have).
Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I've read reviews about the battery life being poor on the MPX aswell though, which is why I think I'm swaying towards the E200. Plus the fact that I enjoyed the camera on my Sagem, so would like a camera built in. I dont think battery life will be that different overall, because I'll be using heavy applications on either, and will kill the battery all the time anyway.
Guest mcwarre Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I use my moto heavily and still get 36 hours out of a charge. You don't have a cat in hells chance of that on the E200. Best take a spare battery with you at all times (or a long extension lead for your charger  ). If you want the camera built in then there is only one choice. Unless you wait for the MPx220; but that is probably to long a wait (later this year I would guess)
Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 How heavily is heavily though? I want to do what I detailed in that other thread. I want to watch a video to and from college, listen to music while I'm there, and send texts etc...
Guest mcwarre Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Yep that is pretty much what I do.
Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 And it lasts 36 hours?!? That's not what I've heard elsewhere. Anyone else do all this, and get the same sort of times?
Guest mcwarre Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Well that's what I get. Mind you I did charge the battery initially for 24 hrs (next 5 charges the same)!
Guest v1nn1e Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I have an E200, battery lasts two days. WM2003 100 times better then 2002. I had the original spv so i have experienced 2002. OS wise E200 is best. I have no problems with the phone. you basically get all you need with it. 2002 os is very fiddly, for example, it can only handle wav which are massive files. These have to be stored on sd card but this requires registry editing. having ringtones on sd card bring up other issues too but thats for another thread.
Guest phonesmarts Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 hey, pulse, think of it, if the only thing the mpx lacks is the WM2003, i would get it. why? because there is a big chance that there is going to be a WM2002 to 2003 upgrade soon.
Guest grossygrossy Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 I use my MPx200 heavily...as in 5000 minutes a month plus downloading email every 15 minutes and accessing calendar, contacts, tasks, etc. constantly all day every day. Yes, that's right, you guessed it, I'm a salesman. If I didn't keep my phone plugged in while in the car, my battery would be dead by mid-afternoon. That said, I have light use on the weekends, and it holds a charge pretty much the entire weekend without plugging in. Hope that helps....
