Guest Smoovey Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Is there a site, a bit like C|Net Download.com or Tucows which has Smartphone software listed into categories, with popular and useful software initially listed in each section? There are just so many applications and games available for the Windows Smartphone platform now, it is hard to keep up and know which program is best. If there isn't such a site - would anyone be interesting in helping to build one? I would be happy to work on such a project. It just seems like a logicial thing Windows Smartphone users need : ) Any current sites would be appreciated. I just have no idea what to put on my new 512mb SD card : ) Incidently don't get Viking SD cards if you have an E200. The E200 will access data but not write to them! : ( Maybe we need a 'compatibility' site too with details of SD cards and Bluetooth dongles or devices which work. Too many ideas
Guest peekie Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 only one i know is handango which has that plus a star system sadly as you must pay for most stuff there is as far as i know no towcows at the moment but who knows what will come
Guest Smoovey Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Indeed... Handigo and similar online stores do seem to be the only places with any form of categorised content for Smartphone downloads. There are just so many titles, it is hard to know which is best. So to be honest I am thinking of producing something which might do just that. Of course that is if anyone would be interested? :) Thanks for confirming the situation though!
Guest peekie Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 yes go for it
Guest Smoovey Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Thanks Peekie :) I'll make a start on getting everything together soon. There are a lot of things which could be done; I would like it to be a bit interactive, so people can leave there own feedback too and such. But I do need to hear back from some people first about it. Once things are a bit more together I'll pass along further information. Take care 8)
Guest peekie Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 make a poll up and see how many people would want it least then you would know if all the hard work will be worth it
