Orange Won't Replace MPx200's

Just been on the phone to customer services about getting a replacement as mine has some build and battery issues, the listthey had said that it's a permanent DMR (or something similar) to an SE P800 so that's what they offer. Although I was also offered an SPV E200 or the Handspring Treo 600 shortly.

So is the news on the front page wrong or not?

It is all a question of stock levels. If they don't have any in stock at the time they check then they will offer you a different model.

P800? that is one insult too far :) Treo is nice but I'd not swap it for my MPX

Only thing with the e200 for me in lack of diagonals so game playing

is spoilt for me.

I also here the E200 have very limited battery life. Hopefully they can renew the stock and give you a MPX.

Yeah the E200 would have been free, same with the Treo.

I was told first that it was a permanent policy but I called back alter on and got the guy I spoke to to call around and he found out that there's some false information and they will have stock in. They were supposed to have them in last week though.

I'll just wait on their stock, not going out or calling much at the moment so the issues I have don't matter for the time being. The E200 tempted me but I remembered why I went for the MPx200 in the first place. It's better. :)

I have no idea if I do or not at the moment, the guy who activated my account and everything completely screwed things up so at the end of the month I'll get a call and sort out what I actually wanted.

I was just told that they didn't know....again. Two weeks...great. Oh well, would rather wait than own an E200 (which incidentally is now the first choice of permanent replacement rather than the P800).

It sounds like there's been a bit of confusion over whether Orange are still selling the mpx200. I was going to receive one the other day as a replacement but when it came to ordering they said they've stopped offering it as a replacement because it has software problems. Other people are just saying it's out of stock, back in a few weeks. Modaco did announce only one week ago that orange are continuing to sell the mpx200 - is this still the case or has orange changed it's mind since then?

I have recently received an SPVE100 as a replacement for my SPV, however, I expect that sooner or later I'll be phoning orange to ask for another replacement as the SPVE100 is likely to suffer the same software problems as the SPV. Do you think the mpx200 will be offered again in the future as replacements?
