Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Are they any good? Could someone post up some vids for me to see the quality of them?
Guest jonblakeburn Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I would post one, but the only one I have is of my girlfriend (Oooh er) Gimme til tomorrow and get out in the daylight and I'll try and get one uploaded for you mate.
Guest Pulse Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Thanks, but it'll be too late :) I will have either the E200 or MPX by then.
Guest jonblakeburn Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Ah right, never mind! It is prettty good quality. In daylight I was very impressed with it. Its remarkably clear for its size/encoding technique.
Guest t3dluke Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Encode at 320x240 then resize down with vdub and raise the framerate a little and you get great looking vids that you can stick back on the phone or whatever.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 For time sake....just post the vid of your girlfriend. Just so the guy can make a better educated decision!!!
Guest Pulse Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Yeah, sounds like a plan encece :) Heh
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Hahaha, like that's gunna work :) I have to say i was impressed with the e200 overall, but thought the video capture sucked. I should be getting mine in a couple of hours though, so i'll have a proper play then. Any other tips/tweaks than the one mentioned above? cheers
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 does anyone still want a video posted?
Guest [email protected] Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 I'd like one! I've seen a couple and they were no good, maybe due to bad lighting but the framerate sucked.
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 here it is anyway, it was taken in poor light conditions in my bedroom yesterday, so the contrast is a bit off.demo.zip
Guest Pulse Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Am I missing a codec or something? My PC wont play it for the life of me. Does about 0.5 seconds and goes back! Has done it with all the vids ive downloaded aswell!
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 how odd. it's worked on all the pc's i've tried it on! Have you got Windows Media Player 9 installed?
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 have you got any other programs/computers you can try it on? does it play on your spv?
Guest Pulse Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Not tried it on my spv yet. It's still initial charging. Anyone know the specific codec, or is it just standard avi encoded?
Guest [email protected] Posted February 14, 2004 Report Posted February 14, 2004 Thanks for the clip Mr_Protozoa.
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 No Problem, if you want any outdoor ones, or ones in the dark (with zoom?) let me know.
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 Works fine on my laptop also for what it's worth :) An example from outside in good daylight would be an idea, as it performs *much* better in that environment. I would oblige, but most of my ourdoor clips are massive, and i'm still waiting for my broadband to get sorted after moving house.
Guest Trancemaster Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 Not tried it on my spv yet. It's still initial charging. Anyone know the specific codec, or is it just standard avi encoded? Try playing it with VLC Client.
Guest n4src Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 To much is tooooo much!!! LOL :)
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 I've missed the daylight today - i've been stuck at work. I'm poping into the city tomorrow so i'll take some clips.
Guest MECX Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Dude how many screens do you need in one room :) (hehe its well cool really) 8)
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 You can never have enough screens! There's another TV and Monitor (both small ones) kicking around on a cupboard, and a Laptop downstairs! It does look a bit cool/cheesy when the matrix code screensaver kicks in on all of them!
