How do I perform a hard reset, and what's involved? Will I loose my Caller ID images? If so, is there a way to back them up first? Anything else I should back up?

You will lose all apps and contacts etc, a Hard Reset will return the

phone to it's factory settings so caller ID and the mms app etc will have to be reinstalled from the CD.

To do a Hard Reset, power off the phone then press and hold the action (blue) button and power on the phone again.

You will now be presented with the option to Hard Reset, follow thr instructions and that's it :)/

After a Hard Reset the first boot will take a while as the IPSM has to be re-written.

As for back-up there is a new app in development, but I do not have the details off hand. A hard reset is good as it clears out the clutter

once in a while :D Just make sure you have your contacts backed up with Outlook.

Another note, after a Hard Reset you will need to create a new partnership

in Activsync, if you want to use the same name of the partnership make sure you delete the existing one before plugging the phone in to the PC after the Hard Reset.
