Guest dbrook Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 Can anyone tell me how to get the MMS to work on my SPV E200 properly? Whenever I send an MMS, the recipient only receives an e-mail advising them to go to the orange website to get the picture. Yet when I used to send MMS pictures on my old original SPV, the recipients would just receive the image. Any help appreciated! Thanks, Darren email: [email protected] :?:
Guest shadamehr Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 If they get a message telling them to visit a website to view it, this actually means the MMS was SENT fine. It has, in the past, been a 100% reliable way to tell if the RECIPIENT could recieve MMS. And in short, it meant that if a person got this message on their handset, THEY were the ones who had the problem, or could not receive MMS. So are you sure the person/people you are sending to can recieve MMS ok, as I have never heard of any case where this message meant anything other than the RECEIVER having the problem...
Guest shadamehr Posted February 15, 2004 Report Posted February 15, 2004 Oh and Darren, don't take this as a heavy gripe, as you are new to this sight, but try as quick as possible to work out which forum is for which, and don't muli post your messages, as what actually happens, is that those people who choose to view just the last unread messages posted on the site, see your post repeated three times, or listed one after another. Hope you like the site too,
Guest dbrook Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Hi. Yes, all the recipients have MMS enabled and could receive the pictures okay when I sent them on the SPV (they get pictures okay from other senders). It's only when I got the E200 that it's been a problem. It was very difficult (if not impossible) to know which forum to post the query on as it's classification was more down to the solution to the problem than the problem itself - i.e., is it an O/S problem, a network problem, a handset problem? I don't have a clue which category it best falls into, nor whether some people might only look at one particular forum, which is why I thought it best to post it more than once. Thanks, Darren
Guest shadamehr Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 OK mate, well as much as that's the very real first time I ever heard of that relating to the sender, then I take your word for it. If no one can help you on here, I would suggest you ring Orange, and explain it to them. BUT... be simplistic, as they can be a bit slow. Just explain to them that if you put your SIM in an E100 and send, they get it fine. Take it out, and put it in an E200, and they get that. Thus indicating that the fault is certainly one of the E200... But please, let us know the outcome...
