Guest GilesHopgood Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 Hi all, although not perfect I am sure many of you have bought in the past the ORA Safe2talk handsfree kit as it was good value for money for the SPV. And I am sure many who have upgraded to the E200 are disapointed to find it know no longer works. The charging works, the speaker works, but no microphone. Surely there must be a simple answer as to why this does not work. Is it as simple as Orange have changed the pin configuration on the E200. Please from someone who hates in-ear handsfree kits and does not want to forkout for a full monte bluetooth kit, which still wont charge the phone. Could someone who is a bit of an electronics wizzard, have a look to see if it is possible to come up with a solution, I am sure it would help lots of us. Regards, Giles. :)
Guest GilesHopgood Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Just moving the subject back up the list. Come on, surely I'm not alone in wanting an answer to this. Orange dont seem to be able to offer me a suitable charging full handsfree. How with the new laws are they allowed to sell a phone without making a car kit available. What is everyone else using with there E200's. All I want is a resonably priced Handsfree system that charges the phone. i.e. around £60 max. Also one that is definetly compatible with the E200. I have looked at cheap Bluetooth kits, but everytime I have asked a dealer to show me it working with the E200 they have had no luck unless it costs in excess of £100 and then it dosen't charge. What r u supossed to do on a 5 hour journey in the car. Turn the phone off? Please help me? Giles. :D :) :D
