Downloading files using Pocket Internet Explorer

Is there a way to download files (eg. downloads on the MoDaCo boards!) directly to the phone, rather than via a PC/Activesync?

I've been trying to download Pocket MVP- it starts off and seems to be going fine, then when it looks like it's finished, it comes up with A "file not found" error message, and despite a load of GPRS activity I can't find the file anywhere on the phone.

Anyone else had this trouble?
