Guest roozbeh Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Hi there.... i am now working on PocketMVP from malloc sources...i started this project from 2days so dont expect too much...this is just a patch..might work with most of version[not tested]but do it at your own risk....also i have chnged some other dlls but i think just these might work..if not please tell me so i remove or update additional files.... Here are what have changed from previus version[dont know version number but guess the most recent one] :Config dialog is now working.... :Equalizer dialog is enhanced so you can see what you are changing... as i talked with malloc and he told me....i will put the newer version somewhere better so anybody can have acces to it but for now here is a place... opinoins? [updated] -it got a bug and now fixed...it worked very slowly.... -opening is now easier with browser it shows all contents of your phone -becouse of new config dialog some keys doesnt work..fixed for now..til i create a better dialog for handling all keys and also hardware keys..patch.zip
Guest maxh2003 Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Roozbeh, what phone do you have? Is it Smartphone 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003? Just interested to know if you might be able to fix the multiple-files problem on WM2003 phones. I already tried and failed to fix it a few times :)
Guest roozbeh Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 hmm...sorry i've got 2002 but i think i find where is the problem....this program nearly doesnt free most of memory acquired...so i think if i free it correclty i can achieve....but got no way to test it...i'll try to test it in emulator....by the way does that worked correct on 2003?ie other features?
Guest nedge2k Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Cant view config menu on WM2003 with latest patch. Wont display music on phone, only SD. Freezes when left/right is pressed on joystick. Up and down on joystick makes volume just go down! Do you have plans for 2003 specific patch?
Guest roozbeh Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 about up and down just making sound go down for sure is my mistake....also config menu :)) i uploaded wrongly...a test dll was uploaded..... so does browser works? yes i;ve got plans on 2003 patch....currently busy on something else....but that bugs will be fixed hope till tomorrow and sorry!
Guest roozbeh Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 fixed and sorry for my mistake!! i am working now on memory workarounds that might couse that problem in 2003..... also describe more why you cannot play things from ipsm..i can do it....
Guest nedge2k Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Ill test new patch and let you know.
Guest nedge2k Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Ok config and volume now work. File explorer displays directories but not files. "Play all" only plays files on SD card. Memory overload occurs when: >left/right is pressed. >when keys 1, 3 and 5 are pressed. I installed to my SD and have both .ogg and .mp3 files stored in "Storage" and "Storage Card". Key map was not changed. Hope this helps.
Guest casperr Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 How about the backlight problems? Can you fix it? Playing videos, the backlight always turn off and it's a hassle changing it the power management everytime i will play the videos. Thanks
Guest meatgrinder Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 wow, excellent work m8, hope this all works out for ya, good luck! Dave
Guest roozbeh Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 hmmm...tannk you nedge2k for your report..... about showing directories and not files this might be becouse you havent installed .cab file so in your registry nothing exist....program tries to read all file extensions from registry.......i'll fix it so if that entry wasnt exist it works also...but for now you can add these to your registry: Local_MachinePocketMVPPluginsformat key=SupportedExtensions="*.avi,*.ogg,*.mpg,*.mpeg,*.divx,*.mp3,*.ogm"
Guest nedge2k Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 That line is already in the reg. I installed the .cab from Malloc's site and then your patch over the top. I also tried it with Midnight's .cab...same results.
Guest roozbeh Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 hmmm...ok i take a look at it..but it works for me...anybody with 2002 got the same problem? And tnaks for telling me :)
Guest beersoft Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 if you looking for things to tweak can you make it sort files by name? and not break the timeout settings on the mpx200 :) other than that, its cool later Owen
Guest muerte8 Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 hey, im a bit of a newbie to installing things on the smartphone and am having a bit of a problem installing the pocketmpv update. if you could give like a breif run down on how to install the update i would be very greatfull.
Guest nedge2k Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 Install the .cab from here: http://malloc.nerim.net then cut the files (from patch.zip in the first post) and paste into the program files folder where PocketMVP is, overwriting the files.
Guest steverae Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 I aggree with Nedge2k. What has happened to the update for the e200.... Great efforts so far with the file browser, but we need to get this thing sorted soon.....

Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Just wanted to let you know this patch now allows me to play files bigger than 100Mb (original version said not enough memory) only problem is thay it bombs out when I rotate :D Good work though
Guest djboo Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 wondering if the ipsm problem is due to the fact on e200's its called storage ???
Guest roozbeh Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 what is that ipsm problem? i am very sorry for not sending more patches as i am very busy on some other projects but...i've find 2003 emulator and will work on it...but now i only got 2002 and havent seen 2003..........
Guest djboo Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 people are saying it wont play files on onboard memory - and im saying IPSM seems to bre renamed to STORAGE on 2003
Guest roozbeh Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 well if it is renamed..so for sure it is the reason..... can anybody tell me the name system on 2003? i mean all folder on root and.....
