Just spoke with the guy ibrought the phone off and he said that when he had the cover changed he asked the guy to see if he could fix the headset profile and he did this by removing a peice of metal from the headphone socket. is there anyway to fix this????????

please help or is there another forum discussing this?

Cheers Dan

You'd probably have to get it sent to Hayes to get it repaired. I suppose it's marginally better than having it stuck on headset profile. Although, saying that, at least it could have been covered by warranty if it were stuck on headset profile.

Btw, I reckon they'd charge about £60 to fix it.

i believe you have to have proof of purchase to send to hayes, still if you give them a ring, perhaps theres a way around it.

Yeah, perhaps. When I did it the SPV was less than a year old, so it wasn't required.

Btw, taking a look back at my post here, they offered to fix the headset socket for £56.75 including everything.
