Guest shadamehr Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 My E200 joystick is now nicely 'worn in', in that its three months old now. Nevertheless, my E200 has been meticulously looked after, and has not a single thing wrong with it. EXCEPT, this problem I find more and more often now... A downward press on the joystick now amounts to an actual LEFT press being registered, in about 20% of the cases or so, maybe a little less than that (but it is getting worse). My E200 does not have Orange Care insurance. It was bought on new contract, in November 2003. It was obtained from Onestopphoneshop, not Orange themselves. Can anyone tell me if they too are experiencing this, and if so, what the outcome was for them? What can I do about this, what can I expect, and who do i address this to - Onestop, as the company I got it through, or Orange, as the 'maker' of the device (even though it is HTC - it is an Orange branded product however). What should I do folks? I'm counting on the knowledge of you all here... Cheers
Guest lowbug Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Yes i have had this BUG and a friend of mine has the same issue. It did resolve itself i blew it out with compressed air...
Guest shadamehr Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Mmm - I disagree that its a bug mate. Its been fine for three months. Never done it before. Only doing it now, now that the joystick is getting more 'loose' after 3 months of use. I would put money on my issue being hardware based... But can anyone else confirm or deny lowbug's example? Cheers mate too - how did you resolve it exactly, as I will try anyway...
Guest lowbug Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I'm not sure but i think crap gets stuck between the case and the joystick? I could move mine down properly, but now it is o.k.? Wierd! :)
